WHO WE ARE

Prospect Development Services was founded by Cathy Hampton in 2003 and established as a limited liability company in 2011. After completing undergraduate and graduate degrees in English and Philosophy at DePaul University in Chicago, Cathy started her career in development at DePaul, serving as a development and stewardship officer from 1982 to 1992. After DePaul, she moved on to do major gifts fundraising for the National Alzheimer’s Association, and then moved into prospect research at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) during its $250 million Galvin/Pritzker Challenge Campaign. After IIT, Cathy added grant writing and prospect development to her portfolio by serving as the first director of grants and donor research at the Archdiocese of Chicago. The expertise that Cathy has acquired over the years adds tremendous value to her work as a consultant focusing her services in the area of prospect development.
